Galerie Gaia Schlegel focuses at art lovers and artists alike. The aim of my work is to present and convey the works of the artists in an individual environment adapted especially to them. This is how unique projects are created in close collaboration with the artists, which enable viewers to experience and understand the works beyond a static whitecube atmosphere. Galerie Gaia Schlegel is a place for encounters with, within and about art.

Esslingen and Tübingen

Sisyphos by Matthias Kunisch

From November 30, 2023, the monumental sculpture "Sisyphus..." by the Esslingen artist Matthias Kunisch can be seen in the plaster cast collection of the Museum of the University of Tübingen (MUT) at Hohentübingen Castle.
The sculpture is part of a large-scale project that includes, among other things, the digital staging and fragmentation of the sculptural work and the large-format drawing cycle "Medea" in a virtual exhibition space.

Printerey: Experimental printmaking by Odile Lueken and Maarten de Naeyer

The virtual special exhibition 'Printerey' was dedicated to the works and work of Odile Lueken and Maarten de Naeyer. The artists share an experimental approach to traditional printmaking processes. Both artists 'print' objects, composing new visual worlds and creating unique perspectives on everyday images and forms.
