Almudena Pintado
Almudena Pintado
Almudena Pintado, born in Spain in 1969, has lived in Switzerland since 2011. As an autodidact, she developed an abstract style that thrives, among other things, on the texture, color and shape of materials applied in a collage-like manner. Her many years of work as a fashion and construction designer shape the geometric imagery in her work. Her multi-award-winning work has been featured in exhibitions and fairs in Spain, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Italy, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, the United States, the United States, Iran, Singapore and Brazil. Her works are represented in private collections in Japan, Taiwan, France, England, Italy, the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and Spain.
Her art works can be summarized as a kind of 'relief stories' (récits en relief). They create space for expression, gestures, touch, materials in different forms and - as the artist herself says about her work - tell of childhood, joy and challenge and are an allegory of life.
Almudena Pintado uses a wide variety of materials for her work: oil paint, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, inks, canvases, wooden panels, collages, cardboard, threads, posters, etc.
