Maarten De Naeyer, born in Leuven in 1992, creates abstract image compositions in a greatly reduced color palette, inspired by traditional printing processes such as linocut. The associative picture titles expand the works into discussion spaces for everyday topics such as 'counterproductivity', 'decay' or 'insomnia'. A direct relationship is created between the printed world of forms and the real world of reference.
